Epoxy vs Polyaspartic for Austin Garages
Both seal your slab and both look great on day one. The difference shows up over a few Texas summers.
Cure time
Polyaspartic cures fast, often a one-day install. Epoxy takes longer, sometimes several days before you can park on it.
UV and yellowing
This is the Texas dealbreaker. Basic epoxy yellows under UV. Polyaspartic is UV-stable and keeps its color.
Heat and hot-tire resistance
Central Texas heat makes tires grab weak coatings. Polyaspartic handles heat and hot-tire pickup better than standard epoxy.
Price
Polyaspartic runs a little more, but the faster install and longer life usually make it the better value here.
The plain recommendation
For most Austin garages, a polyaspartic or hybrid system is the smart pick.
